Newspaper subscription billing FAQ

▸What is the difference between per-issue and fixed-subscription pricing?

Per-issue billing multiplies billable issues × price per issue × copies. Fixed-subscription billing charges one price for the whole period, multiplied only by the number of copies. Each publication uses exactly one of the two methods — they are never combined.

▸How does the automatic issue count work?

Switch on “Count issues from dates”, choose the delivery weekdays and the period. The tool counts matching days and can subtract a number of non-delivery days or holidays that you enter. You can turn it off at any time and type the issue count manually.

▸Can I bill several publications with different frequencies on one bill?

Yes. Add as many publications as you need; each has its own category, edition, frequency, pricing method, delivery charge, discount and tax setting.

▸How are missed delivery credits calculated?

You enter the number of missed issues and the credit per issue; the tool multiplies them. Nothing is deducted automatically — the generator has no delivery data of its own.

▸Can I show a previous balance and an advance payment together?

Yes. The previous balance is added to the period total, advance and partial payments are deducted, and the result is shown as the amount due. Neither value is counted twice.

▸Is this suitable for vendor statements as well as household bills?

Yes. Use the Vendor Monthly Statement or Detailed Delivery Statement templates for route-based billing, and the Minimal Home Delivery Receipt for individual subscribers.
